Top musicians at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will battle it out during the final round of the Fifth Annual Concerto Competition Nov. 16 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center.

The winner of the competition will be chosen by judges Ilia Radoslavov, assistant professor of music, piano at Truman State in Kirksville, Mo., and Christine Armistead, voice teacher at Washington University in St. Louis. The students are competing for an opportunity to perform a solo with one of UMSL’s premier ensembles.

The judged competition will start at 3 p.m. in the E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater. It is sponsored by the Department of Music at UMSL and is free and open to the public.
